Description:
A Korean university has developed the vacuum evaporation source for the large area. The national university is located in one of the largest cities in South Korea and renowned for its excellency. Especially, the lab has been conducting various researches on vacuum evaporation.

Vacuum evaporation is the process of causing the pressure in a liquid-filled container to be reduced below the vapor pressure of the liquid, causing the liquid to evaporate at a lower temperature than normal. The vacuum evaporation source is used for the co-evaporator system of the solar cell.

Existing vacuum evaporation sources cannot control the evaporation rate of the source in details since they consist of one single structure. To provide the vacuum evaporation source which is free from the existing problems, the lab offers a vacuum evaporation source for the large area which will prevent the source condensation and heat loss of the upper crucible and block the impurity inflow of the crucible while providing uniformity of the thin film.

The university is looking for industrial partners to collaborate through licensing agreement or commercial agreement with technical assistance in order to test and further develop the product for vacuum evaporation source. Partners will cooperate together to develop the technology and commercialize it.

The Institute offers technology and its manufacturing method which is:
- Able to improve the evaporation of the source and prevent the malfunctioning of the evaporation device through minimalizing the thermal loss and preventing the condensation of the source which is evaporated to the crucible
-Able to partly control the preheat temperature of the crucible in full detail.
-Able to control the heat distribution of the crucible
-Able to enhance the uniformity of the thin film and the evaporation rates of the source
-Able to cutoff the inrushing of the impurities into the crucible.
