It absorbs part of the high-energy light emitted from screens of electronic devices offering visual comfort and retina protection to the user. Description:
Currently, there are 6 billion of digital devices and the average time an adult spends on devices is around 8.5 hour per day. This intense exposure to new screens increases eye strain and could increase risk factors for the retina such as macular degeneration, the leading cause of blindness in the developed world.

In this context one of the most renowned universities in Spain conducted In-Vitro experiments on human retinal cells exposed to direct LED light with and without protection. The results concluded that by blocking the high-energy light in the human retinal cell, it increased the survival of the cells up to 83%.

As a result of this scientific research, the Spanish company optical company in collaboration with the university, has developed a non-prescription protective eye glasses for medium range viewing of digital screens (smartphones, tablets, computers, PCs, etc.). It absorbs part of the high-energy light emitted from screens of electronic devices offering visual comfort and retina protection to the user.

Main features of the glasses are the followinng:
