El software aumenta la transparencia entre el estudio de abogados y sus clientes y consigue una gran eficiencia y reducción de costes (hasta un 35%). La empresa busca proveedores de software con el fin de ofrecer soporte a la profesión jurídica en el ámbito internacional. El objetivo es establecer acuerdos comerciales con asistencia técnica.


An automated online workflow tool for legal matters between a law firm and the client
An East of England company has launched an automated collaborative tool between a law firm and its client that saves an enormous amount of time to the legal profession and lets the client feel empowered and receiving a better service. No such tool has been found in the sector. The UK company seeks software vendors to partner for full support to the legal profession internationally. Type of cooperation: commercial agreement with technical assistance.
For various reasons, the legal profession is often slower in taking up modern digital tools. Increasing competition, including from overseas, is now forcing law firms to review how they run their business.
In other sectors, there are solutions to integrate documents and contacts and related workflow so that customer support can be handled quickly and efficiently.
The legal profession has not been able to adapt such packages simply because the nature of their work is case-centric not customer-centric.
An East of England company has launched and is successfully testing in a big firm environment a software tool that saves much of the manual work. It is too soon to give a number but other companies´ research suggests around 35% of legal professionals´ time is spent on finding and double checking that information they work on is pertinent and up to date. Importantly, the tool provides a secure online collaborative environment so that for the first time, the client stays on top of things.
In one window (see the Picture), a legal professional and the client have a clear and concise overview of the documents and their versions, emails exchanged, chat, tasks, upcoming deadlines and much more. It´s a seemingly simple thing but as a result work flows much more easily and with much greater confidence that no human error slips in. There are solutions on the market that let users save attachments in one place in an intuitive manner, but they are still slow, expensive, and not as easily searchable as the new tool.
Furthermore, the software tool integrates with Xero to simplify the accounts. It has in-built robots to speed up form filling,
The new tool will be very easy to get up and running for smaller law firms who are not fixed to legacy document or project management software. Once testing is complete, for bigger firms in the UK, the UK company will offer full export from legacy systems into the new tool. At the same time, the company is seeking software vendors internationally, who already sell to the legal profession, for commercial agreements with technical assistance. Jointly, a capacity will be built up to offer full service and training to law firms. The vendors are expected to be already selling to larger law firms would introduce the product and then, in collaboration with the UK company provide a technical service to enable the law firms to handle migration from their own legacy systems over to the new product.
