Spanish researchers from three polytechnic universities have developed a patent that allows greater control and monitoring of operating parameters of photovoltaic panels: the state in which they are or whether there are any anomalies or damages, as well as the generation of electric energy. They are looking for companies specializing in the design and manufacture of photovoltaic modules. The universities are offering licenses to the partners.

The system performs the necessary measures to monitor and get conclusions about the state of the modules, the estimation of anomalies and perform preventive maintenance of photovoltaic solar plants regardless of size and accessibility without the need to disconnect or presential technical support. The device can be installed in each module in an autonomous and programmable way.
