Description:
Methods of re-producing binaural 3D audio have been established for years, but recreating a consistent and personalized experience for all listeners has been difficult and challenging. Most 3D audio today are based on a one-size-fits-all profile of an "average listener". But how an individual perceives binaural audio is largely influenced by the spatial separation between the ears, size and shape of the skull, the distinct shape of the outer ears and the complex audio interaction with the listening environment.

For accurate reproduction of 3D audio for a listener, the sound has to be personalized for each individual according to their parameters. As such, the Singapore SME has developed a 3D binaural audio hologram that can be personalized accordingly to the parameters of each individual.

The Singapore company is keen to establish the following types of partnerships with industry players (SMEs of any size or MNEs):

i) Licensing agreement to commercialise the technology - The partner can license the technology for further development and offer it to their customers.

ii) Research cooperation for co-development of new products - The Singapore company can work with the partner on a joint development effort to bring new products to the market.

iii) Commercial agreement with technical assistance - The Singapore company can provide expertise and technical support to the partner in producing products for the partner´s markets.
Advantages and Innovations:
With the 3D audio feature enabled, the listener experiences a more spacious and natural listening experience with a clearly distinct sound source in 3D space. The audio processor uses a sophisticated algorithm that considered the personalised profile to compensate for the audio delay, amplitude, audio interferences and frequency cue to accurately reproduce a realistic 3D sound field through stereo headphones.
