Un centro de investigación catalán ha desarrollado una nueva fórmula de hormigón adaptada para el uso en edificios con paneles o fachadas prefabricadas. Las secciones de hormigón fabricadas con esta fórmula alcanzan un volumen 5 veces más bajo del normal, con un ahorro considerable de material y, por lo tanto, de los costes totales de la estructura. Se trata de un hormigón de alta resistencia con microfibras de acero que contienen cemento Portland, refuerzo con fibras de acero, rellenos, agua y un aditivo superplastificante. El centro de investigación busca licenciatarios en el sector de la construcción interesados en utilizar esta tecnología en sus productos.

Description:
A Catalan Research center developed an innovative ultra-high-strength concrete formula, that allows to reach high mechanical properties with lower sections,

It is a high strength concrete with steel microfibres consisting of Portland cement, reinforcing fibers with at least one of steel, fillers, water and superplasticizer additive .

This concrete is specified where reduced weight is important or where architectural considerations call for small support elements. By carrying loads more efficiently than normal-strength concrete, this concrete also reduces the total amount of material placed and lowers the overall cost of the structure.

Flexural strength fct, fl, k = 30 N/mm2
Fct tensile strength, k = 10 N/mm2
Strength = 100 N/mm2 fck composition
-Metallic fibers of 13 mm length and 0.2 mm in diameter with a share of the total volume of 2% concrete.

This technology can be applied in manufacture of precast panels for building facades, structural elements, and any sheet-like element, or which require high performance resiliency.

The Research center is looking for licensing partners from construction sector interested in lightweight constructions. The partner (suppliers of materials for construction or structure products manufacturers among others) should be interested in applying this technology in its products.
