La principal ventaja es la mejor proporción de ácidos grasos 6/3 que se consigue sin un cambio importante en el sabor y otros parámetros. En comparación con los huevos clásicos, estos huevos son más saludables para el cuerpo humano y más interesantes para nutricionistas y personas que cuidan su alimentación. La ingesta diaria recomendada de ácidos grasos omega 3 se cubre con el consumo de estos huevos. La universidad busca socios industriales interesados en establecer acuerdos de licencia y joint venture.

The Croatian University has extensive experience in the field of agriculture especially in creating various types of functional food, and hence has developed the method to enrich eggs with omega 3 fatty acids.
In conventional eggs 6/3 fatty acids ratio could be higher than 15:1 and that could cause untoward effects on human health. Also, conventional eggs could be poor in omega 3 fatty acids. Omega 3 enriched eggs have more omega 3 fatty acids, and 6/3 ratio is lower than 4:1. The consumption of omega 3 enriched eggs is an easy and affordable way to provide polyunsaturated fatty acids in ratio favourable for human health. The recommended daily intake is easily reached through the consumption of such eggs.
Consequently, the University seeks licensing agreement for omega 3 enriched eggs production and the joint venture agreement to form the collaboration with the partner in further development. The international cooperation is envisaged so as to additionally improve the technology of omega 3 enriched eggs preferably enhance conventional eggs for further use.

The consumption of omega 3 enriched eggs is an easy and affordable way to provide polyunsaturated fatty acids in ratio suitable for the human body. The recommended daily intake is easily reached through the consumption of such eggs.
