Description:
The Italian SME company´s mission is to create innovative and low-power IoT systems for Smart Cities and complex industries.
In particular, the latest projects carried out and in progress are part of the following contexts: monitoring of manholes and drains for the drainage of rainwater, remote control, and diagnostic systems for public lighting, artificial intelligence associated with electricity and gas consumption to predict the energy consumption of private and public users, optimization of waste collection systems in urban centers, optimization of the energy efficiency of buildings using drones and thermal imaging cameras.
The proposed project involves the installation of IoT sensors, inside Manholes or Drains, connected on the Low Power Wide Area Network (LoraWan) network or via other means, (3G-Long Term Evolution-3G-LTE) to a network server that sends the collected information to the main cloud server. The operator will have the possibility to receive alarms or alerts, through the use of a dedicated dashboard or smartphone, in case of an overflow of the single manhole, or trap door, or in case of need for ordinary and extraordinary maintenance.
The project consists of products and services to be offered to public bodies or large industries where there is a strong focus on road flooding or any flooding problems in the case of high-risk areas due to climate change.
Currently, the system/service has been already and successfully installed at the Municipality of Rome and is used by the technicians in charge to assess the climatic impacts on the current rainwater drainage pipe and to plan maintenance interventions.
The product/service consists of sensors, customizable brackets for mounting inside manholes and drains, an annual subscription to the network server, gateway LoraWan with antenna, subscription to the cloud server, customization of the dashboard and smartphone, technical assistance.
The Company is looking for the following cooperation types:
· Commercial agreement with technical assistance: the Company can sell to the partner an instance of the platform (or part of it), supporting the start-up, so that the partner will be able to be autonomous;
· Service agreement: the Company can develop software in order to provide the partner with a custom solution for specific needs
- Licence Agreement.
The targetted countries are mainly in Europe or the USA.
Advantages and Innovations:
The system and its related technology are innovative and disruptive as there is no similar product available on the market: both for integration and for customization. Thanks to this system, there will be constant monitoring of road flooding in areas where climate change has a strong impact on the territory, saturating the rainwater drainage systems. Operators will be able to have constant monitoring of the sewerage networks and intervene in time in the event of impact problems, optimizing and improving the living conditions of citizens and safety within high-risk companies.
