Un instituto de investigación polaco ofrece una tecnología de transporte de muestras biológicas y ambientales. Además de su función de transporte seguro de muestras biológicas que necesitan aireación, este dispositivo actúa como un respirómetro de laboratorio para analizar el estado fisiológico (condición) de lodos activados. El dispositivo ofrece unas condiciones estables de oxígeno y temperatura para transportar las muestras, con unos resultados muy precisos. El instituto de investigación busca socios con el fin de establecer acuerdos de licencia o comercialización con asistencia técnica.

A Polish research institute offers technology intended for the transport of environmental biological samples. The developed device, in addition to the function of safe transport of biological samples requiring aeration can act as a laboratory respirometer enabling analysis of the physiological state (condition) of activated sludge. The Institute offers license or commercial agreement with technological support.

Description:
The Polish research institute during its near 90-years activity has achieved leading position in creating science development in such disciplines as environment engineering, engineering geology and mining. The Institute´s activity concentrations at problem-solving of mineral resources exploitation industry, applied technologies and environment protection.
Offered technology is intended for the transport of environmental biological samples, such as activated sludge from biological wastewater treatment plants or soil samples, for laboratory analysis. At the same time, the device provides stable oxygen and temperature conditions for transported biological samples, resulting in very accurate test results. Such conditions are achieved by the use of cooling inserts embedded in the pockets and the controller, which allows adjustment of the aeration of the sample from the continuous mode to the time interval mode. Also important is the positioning of the diffuser at the bottom of the vessel, which results in air flow through the entire sample necessary to sustain the vital functions of the microorganisms contained in the sample (optionally the device has an oxygen probe).
