Un laboratorio de una universidad húngara está especializado en investigación básica y aplicada del efecto de moléculas bioactivas y productos farmacéuticos en el funcionamiento vasomotor de las venas. Para investigar el efecto del estrés oxidativo en el desarrollo de enfermedades cardiovasculares, el equipo de investigación busca socios en las áreas de investigación biomecánica, patofisiológica, farmacológica, molecular y genética. Los posibles campos de cooperación son la investigación de la función vasomotora de los vasos sanguíneos, estrés oxidativo y enfermedades cardiovasculares. El objetivo es establecer acuerdos de cooperación en materia de investigación y servicio.

Summary:
Circulatory laboratory of a Hungarian university makes basic and applied research of the effect of bioactive molecules and pharmaceutics developed on vasomotor functioning of veins. To investigate the effect of oxidative stress in the development of cardiovascular diseases, the research group looks for partners wishing to enlist its services in biomechanical, pathophysiological, pharmacological, molecular and genetic research areas in the framework of research cooperation and services agreement.
Description:
The working group of a Hungarian university investigates the area of circulation, as most of the human diseases are directly or indirectly related to the changes occurring in the circulatory system. Therefore the physiological and pathophysiological examination of heart and veins is of utmost importance. Changes occurring in the hemodynamic forces are important in determining the function and structure of the heart and the veins.
The research group investigates the changes, adaptations and remodelling of the circulatory system.

Many people consider oxidative stress as a critical, early step in the development of cardiovascular diseases, but the stimuli and mechanisms responsible for the increased production of free radicals and inflammatory molecules, and their role in the functional and structural regulation of cardiac muscle, arterial and venous vessels are still poorly understood. In living organisms free radials - which are indispensable for life - are constantly being formed from the oxygen we breathe in, but if their neutralization is not appropriate, they might cause development of diseases. In a healthy organism the antioxidants (special enzymes, vitamins and proteins) ensure the neutralization of free radicals, providing a state of balance between the free radicals and the inner defence system.

The research plans and methods used in the circulatory research group and laboratories will synthesize the knowledge based on experimental investigations to advance the knowledge on this scientific area in order to develop more efficient treatments for cardiovascular diseases.
In addition, an important aim of the circulatory research group to train and educate young researchers on the field of the function and dysfunction of the circulatory system.

Investigation of the vasodilator or vasoconstrictor effect of certain pharmaceutics and bioactive molecules is carried out primarily in isolated rat blood vessels with the help of the change of vascular smooth muscle in isometric and/or isotonic tension. Exploring the endothelial and smooth muscle mechanisms is also possible.

With the above mentioned instruments and know-how the research group is looking for institutes of R+D and industrial research laboratories in biomechanical, pathophysiological, pharmacological, molecular and genetic research areas who would cooperate in the framework of research cooperation or services agreement.

Possible common points of cooperation are the investigation of:
- vasomotor function of vessels,
- oxidative stress,
- cardiovascular diseases.

The aim of the collaboration would be: operation of existing innovative technologies and / or joint development of new technologies.
