Un investigador turco ha desarrollado y obtenido la patente de un método para la producción en serie de composites de metal y espuma metálica en forma de perfil y un dispositivo para mezclar composites reforzados con mezclas de partículas. La tecnología permite producir composites de forma homogénea y con un coste muy bajo, ayuda a controlar las propiedades físicas y mecánicas y permite la producción directa sin procesamiento previo. El investigador busca socios con el fin de establecer acuerdos de licencia o cooperación en materia de investigación.

Summary:
A new technology offered by a Turkish researcher has invented and patented a method for mass production of metal foam and metal based composites in profile form and a device to mix particle reinforced composite metal. The technology is originated by Turkey. With this technology, composites can be produced in a more homogenous way at very low cost. The researcher is looking for licensing or research cooperation agreement.
Description:
This new technology, which is from a Turkish researcher, provides a mass production of metal foam and metal based composites in profile form. In production of closed cell composite metal foam and composite materials, the developed invention helps to control physical and mechanical properties. Moreover, it provides direct production without pre-processing.

The target sector needs homogeneous reinforcement and cell distribution of composite metal foams. Density, compressive and impact strength properties can be controlled. The production is accomplished at a lower cost and semi-finished products´ section geometry can be changed.

As a result the technology provides a homogeneous distribution of pore and reinforcement distribution. The mechanical properties can be controlled as a solution.

The researcher is looking for licensing or research cooperation agreement.
Advantages and Innovations:
The main problems of current solutions are instability of cell sizes, inability to control during production, inability to provide homogenous distribution and lake of strength. This new technique provides to produce homogenous, strong, flexible and low cost materials.

Compared to existing techniques, main advantages can be specified as;

-Flexible Production: Production of composite material and composite metal foam with various light metals and reinforcements.

-Homogeneity: Homogeneous reinforcement distribution is obtained by method of mixing in semisolid state.

-Strength: It can be increased by high rates of reinforcement.

-Controlled Production: In production, Mechanical and physical properties can be controlled.

-Low Cost: Don´t need the pre-material production and heat treatment for foam agent.
