Se trata de un sistema ecológico y económico gracias al uso de un nuevo hielo líquido ecológico que supera las limitaciones agroalimentarias. El uso de este fluido permite mantener una atmósfera seca y ventilada, además de reducir costes. La empresa busca cooperación técnica para integrar los sistemas de refrigeración y establecer acuerdos comerciales con asistencia técnica.


A French SME developed an ecological fluid for cooling systems for partners in agrifood sector. They target technical cooperation agreement and commercial agreements with technical assistance.
A French SME is specialised in refreshment systems dedicated to industries using cooking spaces or cold rooms. Their system is ecological and economical thanks to an innovative green ice fluid, corresponding with agrifood constrainst.
The use of this fluid allows a dry-Y-fresh atmosphere, plus it enables cost reductions.
The French SME is looking first for technical agreements to integrate the refreshment and cooling systems, and then for commercial agreements with tehcnical assistance.
A French SME, specialised in the conception and design of industrial kitchens and cooler units, has developed an ecological fluid for conditioning systems and cooling systems.
The cooling fluid is able to give an atmosphere with regulated temperature, controlled, and without aspect of wetty feeling.
The fluid is adapted to green and ecological constraints.
With the introduction of mechanical freezing in the 20th century, the production of ice no longer depend on nature. A major industry using mechanical refrigeration evolved and focused on the production of ice in different shapes and by a number of different methods.
Slurry ice is a water-based solution mixed with ice crystals. Slurry ice can be produced by mixing water with a freezing point suppressant and then cooling this mixture so the ice crystals can be formed. The subsequent temperature of the slurry ice solution depends on the percentage and type of additives used to suppress the freeze point. Common suppressants include sugars, salts, glycols, and alcohols.
Slurry ice is a high performance heat transfer agent that can be applied in many traditional cooling applications. Slurry ice can deliver cooling capacities that exceed liquid refrigerants in energy density. Slurry Ice does not suffer from the disadvantages of ice bridging and ice insulation effects. The microscopic ice crystal size provides a large total surface area for very efficient heat transfer.
The SME could produce equipment from 2 to 120 tons of ice per day from a single generator. When more ice is required, multiple generators can be selected and connected to form a single, larger system.
The French SME could offer solutions from brine mixing stations to flow control and remote monitoring by process and slurry storage tanks, slurry pumps, slurry tank agitation systems, pre chillers, stand alone and tandem, system control packages, centrifugal separators, gravity separators or ice harvesters.
The advantages of the French SME solution are on the aesthetic aspects (compact design, constructed from 316L stainless steel, single scrapper motor and small refrigerant volume), industrial constraints (robust industrial construction - with single brine and refrigerant connections - , comes complete with sturdy welded frame and mounting pads, scalable capacities, operates with a 15 degree temperature differential, minimal maintenance, easily serviced - without special tools -, minimal service clearances required, compatible with all current refrigerants, operates with low brine concentrations (2.5% salt solution), working with a vast number of brine and concentrations).

The French SME is looking for industrial partners in agrifood sector in priority but is open to deal with any industry with refreshment issues. They want to promote their solution to international partners, integrate the solution in the partner industrial process under a technical cooperation agreement, and if necessary sign for commercial agreement with technical assistance to help the partner with safekeeping or preservation of the system.
Advantages and Innovations:
The innovative system has several advantages.
For the mechanical aspect of the fluid, the slurry ice can be used as secondary coolant for circulation to remote cases and coolers. It reduces refrigerant charge with a close coupled system, it is ideal for retrofits because of reduced pipe diameters and you can distribute slurry in plastic pipe. The main advantage of the system is that´s reducing utility bills because the fluid is generated during the night.
For the markets, the slurry is having a rapid cooling to lower temperatures, improving quality and appearance of the meal.
For the juice crystallization, there is only one step of cooling through direct product contact, with the formation of Ice fraction, which can be used for concentrating, and the transportation of juice in slurry form can be done without mobile refrigeration. Concerning the generation of snow for recreational use, the snow can be produced when ambient temperature is above freezing to extend the ski season. The thermal energy storage aspect give arguments like the fact that slurry ice can be generated during lower ambient and off peak hours or slurry ice provides instant response to load fluctuations or allows for lower pumping costs, smaller pipe diameters and duct sizes. The cooling equipment package can be designed to run only at full load and peak efficiency, as necessary to meet cooling requirements.

The reasons why the slurry ice is better are on the rapid cooling, on the quality, on the easy handling, on the lower energy costs and on the flexibility.

The French SME is looking for all sizes of industrial partners mainly in the agrifood market, and dealing with refrigeration issues.

The first step of the cooperation with the French SME would be to go for technical cooperation agreements with partners who could integrate the solution into their industrial processes. The second step could be to sign commercial agreements with technical assistance when the potential partner is in need of technical assistance for maintenance/optimisation/reparation.

Potential partners would be :
- refreshment system installers proposing new solutions, they could test French SME technology and adapt it to their client needs.
- owners of refrigerating systems/plants wanting to improve their technology

The French SME strategy is first to focus on deploying their solution into stationary refrigerating installations, but in the future, they would like to develop technical cooperation about mobile refrigeration systems (trucks, delivery tricycles...) in the cold chain.
