Description:
A Korean university has developed an integrated framework to protect application on the binary level. The technology has been developed to secure and protect mobile applications and software. There are two main protection scheme of this technology; based on 1) protection and 2) response.

1) Software (SW) protection scheme based on protection:
[Static scheme]
- Defence technique at app level through obfuscation, binary code and dynamic loading
- Defense technique at system level through constructing main module in system level, creating and managing efficient encryption keys, safe storage technique for recovered module
[Dynamic scheme]
- Anti-debugging at app and system level
- Environmental analysis of run-time and memory dumping prevention technique through root status detection.

2) SW protection scheme based on response:
[Static scheme]
- Detect illegal software through similarity measurement based on information from special features like K-gram, application programming interface (API)
- Detect illegal software through similarity analysis based on hash value and information of special features.
[Dynamic scheme]
- Detection based on dynamic software information of special features applying call graph, API call sequence, etc.

The university is looking for a partner open for commercial agreement with technical assistance and license agreement. Partners who are specialised in software development are sought. Cooperation type can be flexible depending on each partner.
