El agregado de proteína fibrilar se determina mediante el uso de sondas fluorescentes que valoran la sustancia investigada, graban el espectro fluorescente, crean isotermas de compromiso del agregado de la proteína y la sonda y realizan el procesamiento matemático de los datos espectrales. Se buscan socios con el fin de establecer acuerdos comerciales y continuar con el desarrollo y aplicación de la tecnología.

Fibril protein aggregates is determined by using fluorescent probes, which titrates the researched substance, records fluorescence spectrum, creates probe and protein aggregate commitment isotherms and performs spectral data mathematical processing. Institute is looking for commercial agreement and further development and application of invention.
Description:
Amyloids are insoluble fibrous protein aggregates sharing specific structural traits. They are insoluble and arise from at least 18 inappropriately folded versions of proteins and polypeptides present naturally in the body. These misfolded structures alter their proper configuration such that they erroneously interact with one another or other cell components forming insoluble fibrils. They have been associated with the pathology of more than 20 serious human diseases in that abnormal accumulation of amyloid fibrils in organs may lead to amyloidosis, and may play a role in various neurodegenerative disorders.
Institute has developed a method that applies to molecular biophysics and molecular medical industry and can be applied to determine amyloid fibril proteins in biological fluids and tissue water extracts, by using a new fluorescent probe on benzanthrone base. By using a set of relevant characteristics testing process allows increased sensitivity and specificity, improves the interpretation of results, and reduces material costs and time consumption.

1. Increased method sensitivity due to a greater affinity for the probe fibrils and weaker connection to native protein in comparison with other known probes;
2. Increased experimental measurement accuracy by significantly reducing the light scattering effect on recorded signal (large Stokes deviation);
