The company has developed innovative technologies to help clients maximise energy recovery potential from within their water network. The micro-hydro turbine is designed to replace the function of a pressure reducing valve.

Opportunities are typically found at inlets to water treatment works, high water using industrial processes and pressure reducing valve (PRV) stations. The turbine design allows easy retrofit to existing process networks and building infrastructure alleviating the need for expensive civil costs that typically come with more common types of turbine installation.

There is an existing turbine installation at the inlet to a water treatment works in the UK.

The company has been a manufacturer of pumps and turbines since 1919 and still has its HQ in Japan while the companies global operations are headed from the HQ. The energy team was founded in 2013 with the view to design and build bespoke energy systems that can either "recycle energy" or create more "energy efficient" solutions for high energy consumers.
