Un centro alemán de I+D especializado en caracterización de muestras y familiarizado con la fabricación de dispositivos de microfluídica y técnicas de goteo controlado busca socios con el fin de implementar y producir un micromezclador de goteo controlado que reduzca el consumo de la muestra y aumente la eficiencia de medida en el sector analítico. La reproducibilidad de la geometría del dispositivo y del mecanismo de dosificación ofrecerán un control excelente de las condiciones del espécimen investigado, mejorando la fiabilidad de los resultados. El dispositivo plug-and-play compacto ofrecerá datos analíticos rápidos y precisos de una cantidad reducida de la muestra. El grupo de investigación busca un socio industrial para implementar y producir el dispositivo. El objetivo es establecer acuerdos de investigación, cooperación técnica y licencia.

The research team is looking for an industrial partner to implement and produce the device. They are interested in research and technical cooperation as well as in a license agreement.
Description:
The internationally founded research facility, located in Northern Germany, is a world-leader in sample characterization, with extensive experience in precious and limited in quantity sample handling. The team is familiar with microfluidics fabrication and drop-on-demand technique.
One of the challenges facing the analytical sector is handling picoliter quantity of expensive samples, in particular for kinetic analysis and control of solutions, colloids, and suspensions. The researcher team has addressed this issue by implementing compact microfluidics with integrated drop-on-demand and mixing options for applications in industry and research. The new device synchronizes the sample delivery via drop-on-demand technique, minimizes the sample consumption while maximizing the measurement efficiency. The reproducibility of the device geometry and dispensing mechanism will provide excellent control of the investigated specimen conditions, improving the result reliability. The compact plug-and-play device will give fast and reliable analytical data of reduced amount of sample. The device can also be applied by research institutes to study dynamics of fast processes initiated by mixing.
The research team seeks for an industrial partner who is interested to implement and/or produce the device. They haven´t applied for a patent yet, but are open to develop intellectual property with a partner during the collaboration, by recognizing their background IP. They are interested in research and technical cooperation as well as in finding partners for a license agreement.
