In recent years, the web has experienced an unprecedented production of data, frequently with information on the location of users and mobile devices.
This growing amount of data could be processed in order to extract information and discover clusters of interest. The data can be properly organized and aggregated into special databases or data warehouses (DW), able to respond to aggregate type of query as On-Line Analytical Processing (OLAP).

A company based in Italy, active in the ICT and mobile sectors, is developing an innovative system for the extraction of information from geographical databases. This system is a real-time model for the scalable analysis of geo-referenced data generated from mobile devices applications allowing users create own music radio stations. The computational model is stand-alone and independently executed aiming at experimentally and extensively measuring its performances.

The system is a tool able to explore multi-dimensional data reconciled in real time and aggregate results in different dimensions (spatial dimension, type of device, type of wireless networks, music listened to), and allows to measures impact on number of song listened, revenues generated, user clicks or views, etc.

The system is web-based, able to operate in a cloud computing environment; its integrates in a coherent way the techniques of knowledge discovery in databases (KDD) with those for performing spatial type queries in a distributed environment.
The model provides the access to data via interactive OLAP dashboards with different levels of details, based on the user profile (e.g. device manufacturer, media company) and on the level of service acquired.

The company is looking for different partners, such as mobile phones operators, media companies, music labels, interested in the features of this analytics system through license, joint venture or commercial agreement with technical assistance.

The company is looking to licence this system to subjects interested in the management and visualization in real time of geo-referenced data in the cloud, in order to feed tools of decision support or to extract new knowledge from such data.

The company could be interested in co-development agreements in the form of a joint venture in order to analyze and aggregate, with the computational model described, the data collect trough mobile devices applications.

The company is open to commercial agreement with technical assistance in order to provide the customization, the management and to update the system.
