The company is an innovative Italian spin off established few years ago but constantly growing, specialized in automotive engineering -Y- vehicle dynamics. Equipped with an experienced Research and Development group, and thanks to numerous scientific collaborations in R-Y-D field with great automotive market players, the activities of the group have led in the last years to the realization of software products, testing procedures and development tools able to satisfy the needs of research partners from this area of expertise. In 2015 the described activities received an important feedback from the scientific community and the automotive market.
The future of mobility and the new frontiers of virtual prototyping in automotive field are closely linked to the rise and expansion of the driving simulations, able to accurately reproduce in real-time the vehicle behaviour in all operating conditions. Its current market value is estimated to be about 20 billion -Y-euro;, with the average rate of growth of 7,9 % in the coming 15 years.
The main target of the proposed technology is the increase of the level of realism and reliability provided by vehicle simulations, developing advanced models for real-time applications in vehicle dynamics. These solutions are today adopted during the design and experimentation phases of vehicles development, and aim to contribute to the creation of innovative systems to meet the demanding safety requirements in the field of transportation, laying the foundation for the smart and autonomous driving in the automotive market of the next future.
The proposed simulation and analysis software package consisting of different physical models and procedures articulated as follows:
- tool that makes the vehicle act as a "moving lab", allowing to carry out handling and performance optimization analyses;
- predictions of proper physical models, taking into account the effects induced by temperature and grip variations on tire behaviour;
- physical-analytical thermal model developed with the aim to predict the temperature of the different tire layers;
- physical-analytical tire grip model developed with the aim to satisfy motorsport and tiremakers requests.
The company is looking for partners (carmakers and tiremakers, automotive players, motorsport teams, pioneers of smart mobility) interested in joint further development of the technology and commercial agreement with technical assistance.
