A German company is active in research and development of innovative technologies for increasing energy efficiency and products for CO2-neutral electricity generation.

The company offers a patented energy module that generates electric energy from low pressure steam of 0.6 to 15 bar, without needing any power supply. Low pressure steam is usually considered to be an industrial waste product that is either released into the atmosphere, or condensed and eliminated or re-fed into the production cycle. The energy module uses such steam to produce electrical energy.

In industrial processes where steam needs to be expanded to be useful for a next process the energy module assumes the role of a pressure reduction station. Instead of consuming energy for the steam treatment it turns the energy of the steam into electricity.

Electric energy is thus generated efficiently, economically and with zero CO2 emissions. This carbon-neutral electricity can either be fed into the grid, or it can be used at the own plant to reduce the requirement of external energy. The energy module is available with capacities ranging from 10 kW to 1 MW. It can easily be integrated into existing plants.

Applications are among others in chemical, paper, food and beverage, steel, aluminum as well as in pharmaceutical industry and power production. Energy modules are already in use at a municipal facility, a cokery, a sand-lime brick factory, at a brickworks, a biomass power plant and a brewery.

Partners are sought for commercial agreements with technical assistance.
