Description:
This Bulgarian company with extensive experience in R-Y-D of electronics, communication devices and lighting products and technologies has developed innovative safety modules for protecting electronic lighting devices against short-term high voltage impulses.

Power supply fluctuations lead to voltage that rapidly rises to a peak value and then drops to zero more or less rapid and as that happens electronic lighting devices (including light emitting diodes based) are completely or partially damaged and have to be replaced. That exhibits problems related to costs and time. Moreover, in special purpose and open-air facilities safety risks are also present.

The protection modules ensure the protection of electronic lighting devices and may be applied to all kinds of such devices even those that are located in open air. The input voltage is 230 VAC (voltage in alternating current) but variations from 180 VAC to 270 VAC are also supported. The input / output current is 250 milliamperes (mA) up to 45 Celsius degrees, 200 milliamperes (mA) up to 65 Celsius degrees. The serial resistance of the device is 9.4 Ohms in function mode and the dissipated power at 250 milliamperes (mA) is 0.7 Watts. The trip time is from 0.5 to 2sec at 3 Amperes. The resistance during protection stage in trip mode is higher than10 Mega Ohms (MOhm). The device restores its functionality at 65 Celsius degrees for 30-60 seconds after disconnecting of the high-voltage source and grid line voltage. Its internal board dimensions are 27mm x 54mm x 22mm.

The SME seeks commercial agreements with technical assistance with industrial partners interested in the implementation of the devices in their production, providing know-how.
