La tecnología de la empresa se basa en un nuevo procedimiento de resolución de colisiones para paquetes de información en una red de acceso aleatorio, sin necesidad de tecnologías complementarias. Spanish university research group specialized in performance engineering, covering various topics such as ATM (asynchronous transfer mode) traffic characterization, design of protocols for wireless networks networks, sensor networks and nano-molecular networks, is looking for research and technical cooperation in relation to wide area sensor monitoring, in order to further develop applications using their technology.

Currently, access protocol technologies have reached maturity in some areas, such as local area networks, both wired and wireless, or satellite communications, although the current solutions do not present the best balance of behavior.The strategy used in the proposed protocol can replace, supplement or improve existing solutions.

On the other hand, there are newer areas where the definition of new protocols is needed. This applies, for example, to optical access networks or sensor networks.

The new communication protocol for random access networks is applicable both in local settings and broader scenarios. The novelty of this protocol is that, directly analyzing the signal produced during a collision, it can determine the source node for each packet collided, to inform all active nodes on networks and efficiently organize the relay process. This protocol offers efficient use of bandwidth, delay, fast access and easy implementation, thus becoming a potentially profitable market solution.

The potential field of application covers different areas within the information and communication technologies, such as satellite networks, radio access networks, optical access networks, wireless sensor networks and cellular systems.

This technologic offer may be of interest to companies in the field of information technology and communications, especially those involved in the development of both communication protocols between devices located in remote locations and small coverage areas.

Advantages and Innovations:
Their technology is based on a novel collision resolution procedure for information packets on a random access network, without need of complementary technologies.

The solution proposed involves two particularly significant aspects of innovation:
* The use of the collided signal to extract information from the collision.
* The ability to determine the origin of all packets collided, in contrast to existing protocols which detect only the fact of the collision or at most can discriminate one of the signals, discarding all the others.
