Un equipo de científicos polacos ha desarrollado un nuevo motor eléctrico energéticamente eficiente con circuito magnético único, control adicional y fuente de alimentación que tiene un alto par y ofrece un amplio rango de velocidad rotacional. La solución ofrecida encuentra aplicación en la industria de automoción, aunque también puede emplearse como generador de potencia con regulación de tensión en turbinas eólicas. El equipo de científicos busca socios industriales interesados en incorporar este motor en su catálogo de productos y establecer acuerdos de licencia. Los científicos adaptan el motor a los requisitos del socio y ofrecen soporte en el proceso de implementación.

Summary:
A team of Polish scientists has developed a new, energy-efficient electric engine with a unique magnetic circuit, additional control and power supply systems that has higher torque and a wide range of a rotational speed. The offered solution is applicable in the automotive industry but can be also used as a power generator with voltage regulation. The scientists are looking for industrial partners interested and able to introduce the innovation to their products under license agreement.
Description:
Automotive industry and road transportation sector have responded to the challenges of climate change and greenhouse gases (GHGs) emissions by i.a. introducing electric cars. Although more beneficial for the environment and human health than petroleum vehicles, their major drawbacks have been a limited range and speed. The industry has tried to solve those problems by looking for more capacious and/or efficient electric-vehicle batteries.

By approaching the problems from a different angle, a group of scientists from the North West Poland specialised in electric propulsion systems has developed and is offering a new solution - instead of building better batteries they constructed a more efficient electric engine. A unique design of its magnetic circuit, additional control and power supply systems allow managing all the parameters and regulating performance of the engine, e.g. induced voltage, energy losses. As a result, the engine works effectively in both low- and high-torque situations, has a wide range of rotational speed, a car accelerates faster and - as tests have shown - have better mileage. The offered engine was developed with the automotive industry in mind but can also find some use in wind turbines as a generator.

The scientist would like to see their invention implemented on an industrial scale. Therefore they are offering license agreement to automotive and electrical engineering companies. The scientists are ready to adapt the engine to partner´s requirements and support implementation process. A role of partners will be to buy the license, provide all the information that are necessary to carry out modifications and use the invention in their products.
Advantages and Innovations:
The engine has better parameters including:
- increased range of a rotational speed
- high torque at low speed
Both mentioned innovations increase engine flexibility and improve its performance, i.a. better mileage, better acceleration at low speed and increased speed range achievable at a single gear.

- as a power generator, it allows obtaining - without additional electrical stabilizing devices - constant output voltage regardless of engine rotational speed.
