Description:
A SME based in South Korea in the field of software solution, specialized in smart devices has developed a smart LED (Light Emitting Diode) lighting control node with wireless communication.

Through the device´s twist-lock installation, a conventional LED light fixture gets transformed into IoT(Internet of Things) node with wireless communication capabilities.

The device is sensor-based LED control and can be applied to developing smart city services, e.g., lighting control, energy reports, public safety and security, city air/noise/pollution maps, accident detection/notification, parking enforcement, situation awareness and etc.

The main characteristics of the device are shown below;

- Equipped with GPS, ambient light sensor, noise sensor, vibration sensor and power meter, the Node provides LED dimming control as well as on/off services

- It offers incident/accident detection services i.e. traffic accident, basic gunshot detection and panic button for public safety

- Integrated with CCTV cameras, it could be configured to monitor traffic flows

- Its sensory data could be integrated with city operation and asset management system to help improve city operation and maintenance.

The main specifications of the device are shown below;
- Full autonomous photocell functionality with sensor-driven LED on/off and dimming (no wireless network required)
- Compatible with any LED fixture through the industry standard NEMA(National Electrical Manufacturers Association), 5 to 7 pin receptacle with 0-10V dimming interface
- Node application processor (32bit MCU:Microcontroller unit)
- LoRa communication: SigFox, Semtech chipset supported
- Security: Dynamic channel switching with AES(Advanced Encryption Standard) encryption of the sensory data payload
- Sensors: Ambient light, vibration/seismic sensor, utility grade power meter, noise sensor
- Utility grade 15 minute time of use energy consumption reporting
- Local data storage has 4Mb capacity for offline operation
- Sensor expansion ports with DC power via UART (Universal asynchronous receiver transmitter) communication (in Mini USB Form Factor)
