The solar tile adapts to any pre-existing roof without modifying its structure, with a simple replacement of the tiles and no need of custom components to be realized on the installation site. The company is looking for potential partners interested in the solar tile production and distribution in USA, through an exclusive licence of the know-how.
Description:
The innovative solar tile has been designed for covering residential buildings and for any case of tile roofing: it can be integrated in 80% of the tiles on the market with no need to modify the pre-existing roof structure and no need of specific interventions, while rain water drainage is guarantee by two different types of connection systems with the traditional tiles.
All the three different versions (photovoltaic, thermal, hybrid) are made of printed and varnished aluminum; the frame has been realized starting from aluminum sheets, cut and then drawn with specific molds, folded and polyester powder coated. A seamless integration is guarantee thanks to its frame that surrounds the perimeter of all the photovoltaic laminate with the same height of traditional tiles. This specific feature offers also a color gradation that can easily fulfill environmental directives. Two multifunction extruded profiles in aluminum alloy are mounted on the lateral ends of the frame; these two sections are designed to include:

· support lugs (thermal and hybrid version)
· standard or special connecting elements (all the three versions)
· coupling (all the three versions)
· hydraulic system collectors setting (thermal and hybrid version)
· bracket for locking hydraulic collectors (thermal and hybrid version)

The thermal solar tile has the following features:
· High efficiency solar absorbers in aluminum with custom-made selective coatings
· Custom-made copper pipes
· Braze welding technology for hydraulic components
· Laser technology for welding absorbers to copper serpentine
· Custom-made brass collectors
· Thermal insulating pads
· Poliurethanic foaming
· Custom-made gaskets
· Tempered glass processing and screen printing
The solar tile has already passed EN 12975 tests for thermal solar collectors.
The hybrid version is featured by the innovative plate heatsink located under the photovoltaic laminate, accurately shaped to create a thermovector fluid specific path that covers as much surface as possible.

The meander-shaped copper pipe for the thermovector fluid garantuees an unlimitet duration of the hydraulic system, since it´s a consolidated technology derived from thermal solar panels and hydraulic systems. The photovoltaic laminate has a triple e.v.a. (ethylene vinyl acetate) film, encapsulated in an aluminum heatsink plate during its manufacturing process. This triple film, that ensures a contact between cell, glass and backsheet while eliminating the interstices and electrically isolating it, prevents from a further bonding of the traditional laminate heatsink, improving its heat exchanging efficiency and reducing assembly time.

The hybrid solar tile is characterized by:
· a photovoltaic yield increase of 10%
· reduction of 1/3 of the installation occupied area while maintaining the same power
· Reduction of installation time and costs
· Aesthetic homogeneity of the thermal and photovoltaic systems.
The company is interested in finding investors/industrial companies that intend to introduce the innovative product in the USA market, through an exclusive licence of the secret know-how. The exclusive license allows the production of the solar tile and, if considered of interest, a new USA patent, since the product is not yet on the market.
Advantages and Innovations:
Nowadays the photovoltaic panels for the production of electric energy and the thermal solar panels for the production of hot water are very different in shape, color, size, weight and way of assembly, and are very seldom considered as complementary technologies with not only architectural integration, but also with aesthetical homogeneity. The new solar tile has been developed in three different versions: photovoltaic, thermal, hybrid: the last one allows the production of both photovoltaic and thermal energy. All the three versions of the solar tile are roofing elements that guarantee an unbeatable architectural integration and a very easy assemblage. There is no need of pipes, cables, brackets or other custom components to be realized on the installation site. Solar tile adapts to any pre-existing roof without modifying its structure and specific interventions. It replaces traditional tiles (brick, concrete, stone, slate and fired tiles) just substituting five or six tiles in a row and maintaining the same roof geometry. The production of electric energy from photovoltaic source generates a considerable increase of the temperature of the panel (the cells temperature can surpass 60° C), and a consequent loss of efficiency in the traditional panels (about 10% with a reference temperature of 25°). The hybrid solar tile is featured by a high efficiency, since a heat sink absorbs the heat from the back of the photovoltaic cells and conveys it to the thermo-vector fluid; this is contained in a hydraulic circuit that get hot and, via a forced recirculation circuit, brings the heat in a thermal storage system.
