Las cerámicas tienen menor densidad y mayor dureza que otros materiales cerámicos y no cerámicos y se preparan a partir de polvos sin el método de prensado en caliente (altas temperaturas y presiones), sino mediante una tecnología que es know-how secreto de la empresa. La superficie de carburo de boro absorbe y distribuye uniformemente la energía proyectil y propaga el impulso transmitido, atenuando constantemente el efecto del impacto. La empresa busca socios industriales con el fin de establecer acuerdos de fabricación.

The Bulgarian SME that has developed the technology has over 25 years of experience in research and development of novel materials, coatings, specilised products and optimisation of processes.

The specialised sector providing technologies and products for tactical and security purposes does extensive R-Y-D with the intention to provide ultra-light and at the same time super-hard new materials.

The developed innovative ceramics based on boron carbide is with low density (weight per unit volume) and elevated hardness in comparison to other ceramic and non-ceramic materials. The ceramics are prepared from powders without using the standard "hot-pressing" method (i.e. the use of very high temperatures and pressures) but through a technology that is a secret know-how of the company. The powder is processed in a contained environment to produce ballistic tile elements 5x5x1cm suitable for applications where high wear resistance under pressure is required. The boron carbide surface absorbs and evenly distributes projectile energy and spreads the transmitted impulse, continuously attenuating the shock effect.

The company seeks manufacturing agreements with companies, providing the necessary know-how and assuring technical assistance for adaptation to the needs of the client.
Advantages and Innovations:
- the innovative ceramics based on boron carbide is with very low density (weight per unit volume) and elevated hardness in comparison to other ceramic and non-ceramic materials.
- it ensures ballistic threats protection level IV, being superior to other ones such as: armour steel, aramid fibre, polyethylene, etc.;
- the material weighs 50 to 50 % less than corundum (Al2O3) and is 2.5 times harder; weighs 3.5 times less than various armour steels being 5 times harder.
