Description:
The Turkish company located in Elazig Turkey, is specialized in designing and developing of test equipment and serves construciton sector in identifyimg problems related to the use of construction materials. The company has been active for almost 15 years in this field.

The novelty device adresses a solution to malfunctioning of cement due to formation problems at its liquid state. The company has been working to develop a method to examine the cement at its liquid state and therefore provides an opportunity to the end user to measure the liquid state stress behaviour of the cement prior to application.

This project aims to develop new industrial equipment identifying in fresh concrete the concrete´s ultimate compressive strength class and characteristic equivalent cube compressive strength value.

Moreover, this novel project also aims to help identifying quality problems occuring in the formation phase of cement at its early stage hereby stated as its liquis state.

It is supported by the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization (KOSGEB) R -Y- D, Innovation and Industrial Application Support Programme. A prototype is available.

A patent application for the equipment at the national level was completed and patents granted. The company is looking for technical cooperation with universities by means of developing alternative test methods, licensing agreement to companies active in construction sector or manufacturing agreement to build and further develop the prototype.
Advantages and Innovations:
The company located in Elazig, Turkey carries out studies on concrete technology and is sprecialized in developing test devices to improve and test physical properties of different types of cement.

Numerous methods and techniques exist for identifying concrete´s compressive strength class and characteristic equivalent cube compressive strength value. The majority of these methods and techniques are based on hardened concrete, and the results can be obtained from unidirectional tensile tests at the end of 28 days. But no technique has yet been developed for determining concrete´s ultimate strength by examining the properties of the fresh concrete.

In this project, determining concrete´s compressive strength class before putting fresh concrete into a mold (20-30 minutes) will offer better productivity and guarantee to the counterparties ultimate concrete quality, high strength concrete use, construction safety, and seismicity.
