Este nuevo producto ha demostrado agilizar y facilitar las operaciones de lucha contra incendios, reducir los costes en comparación con otros métodos y, al mismo tiempo, actuar como un regulador del suelo y ayudar a renovar la flora quemada. La perlita, con cápsulas que contienen agua capturada, no permite la entrada de aire ni oxígeno, contribuyendo positivamente a luchar contra la llamas en muy poco tiempo sin peligro de arder. La empresa busca fabricantes de materiales para la lucha contra incendios con el fin de establecer acuerdos de licencia.

Description:
A company, located in northern Greece, with more than thirty years of experience in the production of thermal insulation boards, has developed an innovative firefighting method. The company made its first steps in 1988 in the field of earthworks and construction of technical projects. In 1994, it expanded its trade in structural, insulating, waterproofing materials as well as in the application of the products it traded. In 1995 the company met the inflated perlite. It started its application in the form of a curtain for the roofing of terraces with parallel sealing of the final surface.
The present invention concerns a method of firefighting (sources of fire) which in cooperation with firefighting trucks, helicopters, planes and fire stations, it reduces the firefighting time at the one tenth of the time needed by usual means of extinguishers. A method according to which when water is used at the fire along with a small quantity of tumid perlite, in which there is compressed air (capsules), the water enters the capsules of the perlite and protects itself because of the good heat protection and the inflammable activities of the perlite. The layer of perlite (loose of small thickness), with the captured water in its capsules which does not allow the entrance of air or oxygen, contributing positively in the firefighting of the flame in a small amount of time without the fear of bursting in fire.
On the onshore firefighting methods, the jetting of perlite is faster with the assembly of special equipment which is linked to the base of the firefighting truck which will link the mobile truck with the perlite truck. The material (perlite) enters the hose of the firefighting vehicle and jets along with the water onto the flames. The mobile perlite vehicle has the capability of transferring perlite in up to 4 firefighting vehicles at the same time. The quantities of the transferred perlite depend on the perlite truck operator every time and on the quantity that is needed at the time. In small scaled fires, the firefighting vehicle adjusts to a small tank of 2 or 3 cubic meters for immediate firefighting. The access of the firefighters is allowed more easily since there is no danger walking next to the sources of fire since there is no heating source and flaming gases after the perlite has covered the area. The method of firefighting in small scaled fires is easily achieved due to the special weight of the tumid perlite (100kg/m3). When firefighting is conducted from the air, the firefighting plane/helicopter uses a tank of dry perlite which with the mix of water from the tanks of the aircraft or with the collection of water from the nearest water source. In both cases, the quantities of perlite that will need to be jetted can be adjusted from the operator based on the needs and the amount of flame.
Because of its natural and chemical characteristics, tumid perlite has great stability none toxic qualities and the use in firefighting will help in the fast recovery of the destroyed flora.

Advantages and Innovations:
The materials used are all natural, abundant on the planet. They are neutral, non-flammable and non-explosive. The weight of the perlite - indicatively - is 100 kg / m3 and its composition is human-friendly with no toxic reaction. The composition of the material is environmentally friendly and contributes to its rapid redevelopment damaged flora with no negative ecological impact.
The method reduces the firefighting time to 1 tenth of the time needed with the usual means. During extinguishing, a layer of perforated perlite is created preventing its resurgence. The accessibility of firefighters in fireplaces is feasible, because they can approach directly without the risk of radiation temperature.
The final extinguishing charge, taking into account the effectiveness, the speed of the total extinguishing and rapid regeneration of the environment, saving time and money (aerial operations), is less than that of compatible fire extinguishing modes.
