Licence agreements, or commercial agreements, or commercial agreements with technical assistance are sought.
Description:
Fire-fighting, by detection, prevention, monitoring and analysis, is commonly based on estimations made by experts from visual observations and data provided from ground stations, satellites and other means. These estimations are subject to a great number of errors due to smoke occluding the flames, human inaccuracy in the visual assessment, delay in the data provisioning and errors in estimating the location of the heart of the fire. Recently, the evolution of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) technologies, the miniaturization of sensors and the new advances in communication and control systems have extended unmanned aerial vehicles technology to a wide range of civilian applications such as fire detection, localization and observation.

The Greek SME has developed an innovative fire management information system which provides a comprehensive solution for early fire detection, prevention, monitoring, prediction and fire-fighting, by the use of advanced and integrated aerial sensing system coupled with innovative sensors and cloud-based architecture software.

The system consists of two sub-systems: (a): The air-born system and (b): The ground system.

The air-born sub-system consists of:

- The Flying platform (FP) which comprises the aerial sensing system and the electronics
- A set of innovative optical, meteorological and gas sensors

The ground sub-system consists of :

The ground control station (GCS) for piloting the unmanned aerial vehicle

There are also two more sub-units in the system :

- The location terminal units (LTU) which includes the fire fighting units location,
- The ground fire analysis station (GFAS) which display the common operational picture (COP) and support fire fighting coordination.
