Advantages over current parking billing systems (manual payment, SMS payment, parking) are full automation, ease of use- no user input is required, no street infrastructure needed (landlines, cables, etc), lower cost of running a parking service provider company. Company is looking for a partner for a Commercial Agreement with technical assistance.
Description:
Through the years providing software for parking service providers in Serbia, company has acquired significant know how in operation of parking services in general. Experienced team lead by CEO and CTO, has encountered and solved almost every problem known to this market segment.
Company is using GPS and smart parking solution to automate process of parking payment, thus reliving the end user of obligation to carry the burden of paying the parking on his mind, decrease the costs of labor (less parking wardens needed), maintaining the parking infrastructure for parking service provider.
GPS device with shaker and engine on/off alarm can easily detect if the vehicle is moving or parked. When the vehicle is parked, software will determine if the vehicle is in or out the parking zone. If the vehicle is in the parking zone, and if the time frame for stopping but not parking has elapsed, then the parking transaction will be started. When the vehicle engine is started and vehicle is moving the parking transaction will be ended.
Product has hardware and software component. Hardware component is a GPS device with the shaker (mounted In the car). It sends out the data which contains information that is used to initiate or stop the process of billing, determine is the car In the parking zone, and if yes, it's parameters, that determine the billing process.
Software component and its logic will be closely described in the following text.
The solution is based on the Linux operating system, PostgreSQL 9 DB server, Jboss 7 server. Smartphone applications will be developed for Android, iOS, Windows Phone 8, Blackberry and operating systems Java JSF with primefaces library will be used for web development (system administration and end-user administration).

Advantages of Smart parking are that it doesn't require expensive investments in infrastructure, it cuts costs of running a parking service provider, relives end user of obligation to think about paying the parking allowing the end user to go about his business worry free, thus benefiting both, the parking service providers and the end users.
What is innovative in this product is the way that existing technologies are used. Company utilized existing technologies in the manner that has not been used before in this business.
Current parking billing solutions mostly rely on parking meters, parking billing machines, or on payment by SMS (widely popular in south - eastern Europe).
Costs of maintaining parking meter or parking billing machines are large due to big number of units existing. SMS paid parking was one of the cost cutting solutions, but it is driven by the mobile phone operators. In SE Europe, mobile operators agree to be the part of this kind of service, provided by the parking service provider companies, for a profit margin of 2 - 4 % of the price of the parking ticket. In Western Europe, and the other parts of the developed world, those margins went up to 40 % which made this kind of solution non feasible.
