Este sistema de iluminación automática es una alternativa viable a los actuales paneles empleados en decoración y muebles, tanto en interior como exterior. Se busca una empresa especializada en producción en masa y venta de polímeros combinados con otros materiales para establecer acuerdos de fabricación.

An Italian inventor has patented and manufactured a multilayer composite, illuminated panel formed by overlapping layers of materials: support; mask and tesseras, protective layer of finishing, led.The self-illuminating system is a viable alternative to current ones used in decorative finishes and furnishings for indoor and outdoor use. A manufacturing agreement with a firm already engaged in mass production and marketing of polymers in combination with other types of materials is sought.
The proposed invention is an innovative and original product, with strong structural features and at the same time decorative and ornamental elements.
It is an interesting product that can be used in various fields, namely: furniture and construction projects including finishes and furnishings for indoor and outdoor use, for private or public users to create coatings, finishes, safety signs, advertising signs, light guides for people with disabilities, street lighting, dividing walls, etc..
The innovative contribution that characterizes the aesthetic and decorative appearance of this invention is given by the free association of heterogeneous materials, which make the coating surfaces, composed by alternating mask and tesseras, indifferently placed on one or on both faces of the support layer.
Mask and tesseras are applied according to the technique of inlay and / or of embedding.
Another innovative aspect of this material is the use of light as ornamental decorative, "material" and as filter: light has the ability to act as a filter to change the status of the panel from completely transparent to opaque.
Finally, a finishing layer (resin or similar), is used to unify, define and protect the completed panels.
From the aesthetic point of view the final product is an extremely versatile material in the decorative aspects, chromatic alternation of bright areas and opaque areas, the variation of the thickness, finishing surface, etc..
In this way the potential and decorative solutions are endless and any decorative pattern is possible, with the combination of one or more colors or bright color effects.
Being a multilayers, the overlapped layers that compose the panel interact mutually forming a laminated with high capacity of resistance to external stress so panels can be used as structural supporting elements.
The potential of composition and design of this material have been tested through its use in the design of stairs, top for sinks, kitchen cabinets, shelves, but also for the furniture and finishes of a business space (shop, restaurant, etc), with results of great effect, where the light acquires a strong composition value with decorative effects like never before.

The laminated panels have a varying thicknesses depending on the mode of application, if they are simply decorative or ornamental and constructive at the same time.
The design and implementation of this material was performed on sample models to verify the behaviour but also the manufacturing and construction process.
This has also allowed to verify another innovative aspect of the product, i.e. the opportunity to intervene in the manufacturing of pre-finished elements, or precast elements on specific design requirements.
Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines, such as the numerical control pantograph are used for the manufacturing, making the process simple, fast and cheap.
The ideal partner would then be a company able to produce on an industrial scale this type of innovative product.

The innovative aspect of this invention is inherent in the multilayer durable structure of the material given by the overlapping of heterogeneous layers represented by: 1) support (polymethylmethacrylate); 2) mask and tesseras (of any material); 3) layer of finish (resins or similar).
The invention provides an innovative alternative to the backlit materials today on the market, namely:
1) high resistance to external loads;
2) light projection from both panel faces;
3) significant reduction of panel thickness and weight;
4) very high aesthetic and decorative value;
5) absolute versatility of the material;
6) various sectors of use;
7) use of sealed LED to achieve a wide range of products or solutions for external, for humid environments or in the presence of water;
8) energy saving lighting;
9) significant reduction in production costs.

The ideal partner for the production and marketing of this product, should be a company that operates in a serial production system, capable of working polymers and its derivatives in combination with any other material ( metal, leather, wood and plant fibers, nonwoven fabric or synthetic fibers, etc..) using CNC (Computer Numeric Control) machines such as pantograph instrumentations or depending on the material cutting machine with laser or plasma.
The options for an agreement are two:
a) grant, including exclusive rights to manufacture and market the material reserving the ownership of the patent;
b) sell the rights to the patent, keeping the authorship of the patent.
For both conditions, the prposer would continue to take care of the product design, studying the potential of application and development.
