Un grupo de investigación catalán ha desarrollado una serie de herramientas informáticas para diseñar un nuevo método de planificación urbana conforme a enfoques sistémicos y centrados en los ciudadanos. Este método consiste en recopilar información sobre el uso que hacen los ciudadanos de los espacios públicos mediante el uso de herramientas de inteligencia artificial. La información recogida se procesa para comprender cómo se utilizan los espacios públicos y sugerir un diseño y distribución mejorados del suelo urbano. Se buscan empresas con el fin de establecer acuerdos de licencia y cooperación técnica.

Summary:
A Catalan research group has developed a set of ICT tools to design a new urban planning method according to systemic and citizen-centric approaches.
This method consists of gathering data related to citizenship use of public places by using artificial intelligence tools. The information collected is processed to understand how public places are used and then suggest an improved design and distribution of public land.

A Catalan research group, with expertise in Smart City initiatives, has developed a platform to improve current urban planning methods by introducing a new set of design tools according to systemic and citizen-centric approaches.

This invention consists of an innovative method that works with artificial intelligence tools, such as data mining, data presentation or the calculus algorithm, aiming to reinvent objectively the traditional urban planning methods. The interface consists of two clocks that relate the time usage of the people with the usage of the urban soil.

The information of both clocks is displayed in a simple and easy interface to allow public decision-makers allocate efficiently public resources by taking into account empirical data.
The technology is aimed to the Smart Cities market, especially to public institutions that manage urban planning such as local governments, and to technology users and urban planners such as architects.

By taking into consideration the real needs of the population, it encourages a more efficient use of public resources and infrastructure investment.

In summary, it is a more objective and simple method to help decision-makers efficiently allocate resources by considering citizen-provided data.

Companies for license and technical cooperation agreement are sought to implement this technology in public administration offices and/or customize the technology to fit the needs of each client.
