Description:
This private company from Hungary was established in 2014 by a very experienced mechanical engineer and mainly offers green energy solutions. It works together with an NGO that has a wide range of external experts in the same professional area.
In a 600 MW hydroelectric reservoir 1,200 MWh of electrical energy can be stored, e.g. in 2 hours at night. This is equivalent to 100.000 electric car batteries charging for two hours of night with 6 kW power outputs, if there is a free flow of energy capacity of 12 kWh rechargeable batteries in a car. Currently there are not this many electric cars in Europe in a single country. Thus, the water-storage technology hydro power plants of 600 MW power output is still unbeatable.
For domestic hot water storage for example, with 6 kW electrical power can be charged for 2 hours. During this process 12 kWh electrical energy is converted into hot water thermal energy at close to 100% efficiency. This micro power station is capable of, for example, the stored 12 kWh hot water circulates in a non-Euclidean geometry, so called laminar vortex cold wave tube. In this water circuit with a Bánki-type water turbine generator can recover 8-9 kWh power.
The target audience of the innovation are ESCO (Energy Saving Cooperation) service providers, funders, national electricity system operators and public authorities authorizing the reservoir hydro power plants.
In the framework of a European Union based proposal (H2020 etc.) or by direct cooperation they are looking for research cooperation agreements for the Future and Emerging Technologies (FET), mainly 10 kW domestic power plants - hot water storage. It is anticipated that this cooperation will be with partners who looking for domestic water engineering equipment manufacturers for license agreement. In addition, cooperation is sought from banks and other financial institutions that could help with machine leasing solutions.
Advantages and Innovations:
The 2012/27 / EU Energy Efficiency Directive is aimed at retail power reduction of 1.5% per year. The Government of Hungary has already planned an investment in 600 MW pumped storage hydropower plant, but has not realized it.
At the present time in the market for household size appliances, only high capacity batteries for electric vehicles are available. This is suitable for a daily minimum of 10 kWh power (230 V) electrical energy storage, which can be fed back into the power grid at night.
10 kW domestic power plant and hot water storage can be accumulated up to 600 MW. There is no authorization problem and it can work as a Virtual-storage Hydro Power Plants (VHPP) MicroGrid in Future and Emerging Technologies (FET).
The 10 kW domestic power plants (hot water storage) can be used for small electric powered boats and houseboats as an alternative source of energy.
