A Greek company established by experienced engineers presents a unique connectivity platform for Internet of Things (IoT). The platform allows the user to use graphs in order to interconnect existing or new devices and applications easily and effectively. The Greek company is looking for companies working with IoT networks and applications for commercial agreement with technical assistance.
The Greek SME is an IoT Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) provider with a unique connectivity framework. The company has been established a year ago, yet the engineers who established it used to work for more than 4 years to another company offering design services for IoT system solution providers. The founders of the company realized the problems for correct -Y- wide use of IoT concept because of: long design cycles leading to lack of interoperability, inefficient methods for interconnecting Things with applications, extremely high effort for the development of new applications instead of reusing existing ones and wrong interpretation of the IoT concept by thinking of Things as only tangible entities. The Greek engineers then designed and currently offer a platform based on the first IoT editor that uses graphs to interconnect models of devices and existing applications with each other, through ready-made logic. In this way, the platform leverages the potential of IoT in a wide range of home automation or business processes with significant cost saving for consumers and enterprises.
Connecting every network device with existing applications is a simple task with the use of the platform. There is no need to write complex computing code, the platform uses simple graphs to create and interconnect various Things to the Cloud and from there back to the edge devices. Things (objects, animals or people provided with unique identifiers and the ability to transfer data over a network without requiring human-to-human or human-to-computer interaction) have owners who decide how to share them as well as the data they generate. The need of new applications is eliminated since Things exchange data with their owners or other authorized users over social networks and communication applications that until today have been used only for human communication purposes. As an example of the approach of the platform is the use of an existing "dump" IP camera to a Skype account. The system can specify a trigger, for example the actuation from a motion sensor and then the user will receive a Skype video call with the camera´s live feed. In the same way as with the applications, existing platforms and services could be handled and become useful by the platform.

The platform is made with the concept of IoT fogging in mind. The fogging is a distributed computing infrastructure in which some application services are handled at the network edge in a smart device and some application services are handled in a remote data center in the cloud. The goal of fogging is to improve efficiency and reduce the amount of data that needs to be transported to the cloud for data processing, analysis and storage. The platform is automatically assigning tasks implied by the User Network Story (A user story helps to create a simplified description of a requirement) to a distributed network of edge devices like IoT hubs and end nodes.
