Silicon efficient, ultra-low power 32-bit processor IP for implementing embedded systems in systems on chip
A French company offers processor IPs (Intellectual Property) for implementing embedded systems in systems on chip. Their processors IP are silicon efficient and ultra-low power 32-bit.

They are looking for companies or R-Y-D institutions to license their technology or for a technical cooperation agreement.
A French company that designs 32 bit general processor IP cores that can be applied to almost any system-on-chip (SoC)/ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) application. Any core can be tailored according to the partner´s needs.

The processors have been used in commercial products in the following areas:
- Smartcards including SIM (Subscriber Identity Mobile) cards (native SIM, JavaCard -Y- Long Term Evolution LTE card), M2M (Machine to Machine) cards and banking cards
- e-ID (electronic IDentity card) and e-Passports
- smart sensor interfaces (for automotive and industrial applications)
- video processing and camera systems
- wireless including Bluetooth, BT LE (BlueTooth Low Energy), Wi-Fi and proprietary radio standards
- touchscreen controllers for smartphones and tablets
- secure execution systems for smartphones and tablets
- industrial control systems with complex floating point algorithms
- implementation of secure communication for smart phones
- automotive sensors and vision systems

In the future they would like to access these following new markets:
- Android smartphones, tablets
- Internet of things: sensor interfacing, supporting wireless protocols, gateway devices and hardware security
- Smartcards: secure elements, pay TV cards, e-ID including e-Passports, banking cards -Y- M2M cards
- Smart sensors including sensor hubs for smartphones and other portable devices
- Wireless including Bluetooth, BT LE, Wi-Fi and proprietary standards
- Smart metering - especially wireless versions!
- Smart energy management e.g. solar inverters
- Industrial control e.g. motor control or power supply management
- Semiconductor storage devices e.g. SSDs (Solid State Disc) or eMMC (embedded MultiMedia Card)
- Display controllers

The intellectual property is offered as a family of processor cores spanning a range of computational performances. A full set of software development and debug tools as well as complementary peripheral IP are also provided. The technology is limited by the Wassenaar Arrangement.

The company :
- is looking for licensees who will use these processor cores in their integrated circuit products,
- Is looking for companies providing semiconductor design services who could design products including the cores technology for their customers.
- Is interested in procuring non-volatile memory intellectual property (IP) and Static Random Access Memory (SRAM) IP for low power integrated circuits
- is also interested in silicon foundry services including multi-project wafers (MPW)
Advantages and Innovations:
- Own architecture developed by the company from scratch and so affected by no legacy issues
- Developed to avoid unnecessary features and to be economical
- Very small silicon footprint for processor cores
- Very low power consumption
- Very good code density
- Excellent starting point for security solutions.

Examples of proven success:
a) very price-sensitive applications with relatively low margins such as SIM cards and touchscreen controllers for smart phones,
b) implementation of low power systems with a low duty cycle for wireless applications including smart metering and Internet of Things (IoT)
c) security solutions including systems with high tamper resistance for Pay-TV cards, SIM cards, banking cards, e-ID cards, secure execution subsystems for smartphones and secure communication systems for mobile phones.
Stage of Development:
Already on the market
Exclusive Rights,Copyright
CommeR Statunts Regarding IPR Status:
Intellectual property has been developed entirely on private funds and is licensed commercially.
