Description:
A Canadian manufacturer has designed a product to be used in the management of aqueducts and fire hydrants integrating audiovisual sensors to inspect the inner mechanism of fire hydrants and water leak detection.

It consists of a wireless network of 25 adapters-sensors coupled to the 25 fire hydrants in a selected area of a municipality. The audiovisual data for each adapter is transmitted to a head adapter which retransmits the data to the server via the internet and mobile network that is stored in a management software and consulted by the client.

The incorporation of this technology into hydrant networks will assist in the identification of leaks or other damage that could impact the usability of the hydrant during an emergency.

The product is in the pre-production phase with patent applied for and pending. Currently there is no similar technology available to governments or fire prevention services.

They are seeking global partners in both government and industrial sectors who are involved with the maintenance of fire hydrants and their related products for commercial agreements with technical assistance or licensing agreements who can present this product for integration into hydrant networks. The exact nature of the partnership will be dependent on what is the best fit for both parties.
