Un laboratorio francés especializado en investigación atmosférica es reconocido por gestionar y reducir partículas y gases contaminantes mediante el uso de un aditivo patentado en combustibles sólidos. El laboratorio busca compañías de los sectores de automoción y control de emisiones contaminantes con el fin de desarrollar y probar una nueva tecnología que reduzca la emisión de óxidos de nitrógeno durante la combustión (en el cilindro) con el uso de un aditivo en el combustible líquido. El objetivo es establecer acuerdos de cooperación técnica o investigación.

The French laboratory, based in Northern France, is focused on atmospheric research topics from the metrology of atmospheric species to analysis of photochemical mechanisms.
Studies of the industrial environment are particularly predominant and they provide a direct link with the local population and the regional authorities.

In ground transportation, existing technologies to limit nitrogen oxides and particulate emission are only available after fuel combustion (such as particulate filters, catalytic converters).
Those technologies reach their limits in reducing nitrogen oxides (NOx) and particles.
This laboratory reaching success in lowering polluting nitrogen oxides and particles on solid fuels is now developing its research on liquid fuels, including sensors and evaluation systems for measuring emissions of pollutants.
Developing technologies on low nitrogen oxide and particulate emission is a huge stake, not only for the environment but for many application fields subjected to restrictive environmental standards: Transportation, Refinery...

This French laboratory is looking for an international technical or research cooperation with a company , SME or major company, in the fields of automotive (motorization, fuel) or detection and control of pollutant emission. Eventually, a project proposal could be applied in order to access to EU funding (Interreg for example).
Advantages and Innovations:
The laboratory has developed new efficient solid additives for semi-industrial ´In bed de-NOx´ procedure during sintering which allow the polluting NOx emissions to be decreased by a factor of 3.
The additives are simply added to a solid mixture of minerals and coal followed by usual sintering procedure without any change of existing technology and equipment. In addition to a significant NOx reduction, sulphur oxides SOx and particulate emissions are also diminished.

Similar strategy will be used for liquid fuel by adding new efficient liquid additives allowing to decrease NOx and particulate emissions during the combustion process in the engine cylinders.

The innovative upstream technology will be complementary to existing downstream solutions (particulate filters and catalytic convertors).

The French laboratory is looking for a technical or research cooperation with a company, from SME to major companies, in the fields of motorization, fuel, detection and control of pollutant emission.

This cooperation should help to develop and test a new additive to reduce emissions of polluting nitrogen oxide particles before combustion of liquid fuel ; and to demonstrate the performance of this new technology in response to environmental regulatory requirements.

The laboratory is also interesting in b2b collaboration under EU funding program such INTERREG, H2020, etc.

Both partners can work under technical cooperation agreement or research cooperation agreement.
