La solución detecta y localiza objetos en movimiento y reduce/aumenta la luz necesaria en un lugar específico. La empresa busca compañías especializadas en instalación y fabricación de LED que precisen soluciones con valor añadido y que reduzcan el gasto de alumbrado público de sus clientes (ciudades, aeropuertos, autopistas, etc.). El objetivo es establecer acuerdos comerciales con asistencia técnica.


Advanced radar sensors for savings in public street-lights
Croatian SME has developed advanced radar system with smart software and LED lighting which can produce up to 70% of energy cost savings in public street-lights. Solution detects and locates moving objects and accordingly reduces/increases needed light at a certain location. SME is looking for commercial agreement with technical assistance with LED instalment and/or production companies in need for added value solutions and costs savings for their clients (cities,airports,tunnels,highways,etc.)
Croatian SME company is research and development oriented with strong competence in microwave engineering, digital signal processing and embedded systems and electronics development for demanding applications like high processing power computing and similar.

The radar is attached on an existing street lamp pole and registers movement at distance up to 150 meters for pedestrians and up to 300m for car-sized vehicles. The radar then wirelessly sends the location of the detected object to nearby street lamps, so that the lamps closest to the object can lit up. As a detected person or car moves, the radar keeps following it and turning on lights around it. When the street is empty again, the lights gradually dim back to a minimum intensity level. By dimming the city lights when the street is empty there is a significant saving of electric power. If the energy used for public street-light is not from a renewable source then it increases carbon dioxide emissions, contributing to global warming as well as influence the current state of light pollution in the world.

Inherent purpose of this solution is to precisely detect and locate moving objects in dedicated perimeter and to measure motion parameters and advanced algorithms for smarter control (and savings) in various systems. With their location capabilities and precision, radars have another advantage of being solid state radars without moving parts. Radars are designed for ground surveillance and measurement applications with very robust clutter removal algorithms and advanced target tracking. Product was designed for civil use of technology (company solution has been certified in Croatia for sale and civil use of the product).

This product is intended for smart lighting systems for cities, airports, tunnels, roads, pedestrian passages etc. Product already has excellent results and is in use in several countries - Finland, Romania and China. This solution is implemented at an airport in Helsinki and has achieved up to 70% of energy savings.

Radar system and software is completely in-house developed and it has other various applications with surveillance systems, liquid-flow systems and traffic enforcement systems.
Company is looking for a partner for commercial agreement with technical assistance.
