A French Technology Based SME has designed, developed, manufactured and currently spreading around the world several types of virtual simulators for manual skills learning.
This cutting-edge solution combines several technologies: Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Force Feedbacks, Serious Game and LMS (Learning Management System).
They are adressing the vocational and technical training workshops. These innovative simulators are designed to evaluate the initial skills of the newcomers then train them through a progressive and tracked approach. They will then acquire the professional manual skills required.
The existing simulators address industrial jobs (welders, painters, maintenance operator) as well as wood working industry (carpenters, cabinet markers, sawmill operators). They are translated in several languages and implemented in several countries.
A Learning Management System (LMS) installed on CLOUD enables the instructor to create his own curriculum and apply to any student or group of student. Individual follow up and learning analysis is provided.

Technology can be transfered to several other trades and applications. Today there are some competition for the company´s welding training system but no other products on the market for Spray Painting, Cabinet Makers and sawmill operators.

Commercial agreement with technical assistance are sought with Industrial companies, educational institutions to adapt the technology to their specific needs.
R-Y-D and technical partners are envisaged to further develop the technology and new products.
Financial partners are welcome to provide financial ressources to boost the next generation of products.
Advantages and Innovations:
Virtual training simulators replicates real situation in a 3D virtual environment and track the user motion and reaction. They guide the student through a progressive learning process and using visual cues added onto the virtual world (Augmented Reality).
Students learn in a safe environment and can repeat their tasks as often as they want. They learn quicker and better than traditionnal workshop training. Virtual and traditionnal are combined so the instructor will control his group in a better way.
Benefit can range from 30% up to 90% in terms of cost saving for the training centre.
Moreover, the image of those manual jobs is greatly improved so to attract more people to these trade where there is often a shortage of manpower (welder, wood worker, ...).
The Learning Management System (LMS) is a powerfull learning management tool based on a CLOUD technology to provide the instructor with a tracking and control system.

Today, technical training is widely conducted using traditionnal methods. Feedbacks are very tough to collect, friendlyness of the learning is very bad. There are some basic proposal for simulators but they are very limited. Too complex to use and integrate or too far away from reality.
Using Virtual training systems like the ones proposed is very much different from traditionnal training or basic simulators. The products are focused on critical skills and offer advanced tracking systems to follow individually each student. Learning is quicker and better.
Furthermore the company ´s advanced Learning System can adapt to most of the existing basic training simulator system turning them into a valuable tool adapted to the customer needs.
