Lithuanian company is involved in research projects aiming to satisfy increased requirements for coating materials with improved performance characteristics.

Magnetron sputter deposition, activated reactive evaporation, plasma immersion ion implantation are employed in order to achieve required chemical (e.g. adsorbtion, corrosion, oxidation) or mechanical (e.g. friction, wear, hardness) properties of the material. Of particular emphasis is devoted to plasma enhanced low-temperature synthesis, ion beam assisted deposition and modification of near-surface properties of metals and alloys under high-flux, low-energy ions (nitrogen, oxygen, hydrogen) irradiation at moderate temperature.

Plasma technologies enables us to create materials with needed composition, microstructure, adhesion and internal stresses corresponding to the specific applications. The main attention is paid to materials used for hydrogen storage, production and electrolytes (for solid oxide fuel cells).

Company has two European patents based on hydrogenation of metals and their alloys and method of hydrogen extraction from water, employing water interaction with plasma activated metals and alloys. Hydrogen production using patented technology can be applied for portable devices and used on demand.

Cooperation is sought with industry and research partners (R-Y-D institutions, universities, inventors) to tackle projects in clean technologies based on hydrogen.
