The system maximises the use of grey water and harvested rainwater around the house/garden in order to save money on water bills. A fully working prototype has been developed and is now ready for commercial production. The company is looking for partners who can help commercialise the invention through financial or technical cooperation agreements.
Description:
Purified drinking water is often used unnecessarily where rainwater or grey water are sufficient. It is estimated that up to 55% of drinking water used could be substituted by other less pure water. Saving drinking water also saves the CO2 associated with producing it. Increasing use of water meters in domestic and commercial buildings means that water saving has now become financially attractive. Rainwater can be harvested from roofs and stored in large tanks for flushing toilets and watering the garden. Grey water from showers and baths can also be stored and used to water the garden. The challenge is to integrate a water control system so that stored water can be pumped around the building and used in the correct setting.

A UK based SME has developed a patented, central water control unit that pumps, monitors and meters the water in domestic or commercial buildings. This invention allows for computer control of the stored water through a central manifold unit that is both user friendly and informative. Timers can be set for watering gardens / vegetables.

A pre-production prototype is ready for demonstration but partners are needed in order to get this product into production. Partners from the resource efficiency, construction, rainwater harvesting, architects and other related sectors would be ideal to form financial and / or technical cooperation agreements.
