Un centro de investigación de una universidad checa ha desarrollado una nueva tecnología que consiste en un hardware y software de una unidad de control universal para controlar el movimiento de robots industriales. El sistema ha sido diseñado para que las operaciones robóticas interactúen con humanos y el entorno. De esta forma es posible establecer la operación del robot guiando simplemente el brazo robótico y enseñando su trayectoria operativa. El robot responde a la presencia de obstáculos durante la operación, por lo que no es necesario instalarlo en un entorno modificado. El centro de investigación busca fabricantes de sistemas para robots o compañías que necesiten automatizar robots. La colaboración se establecerá en el marco de un acuerdo de licencia, cooperación técnica o investigación.

A Czech university research centre has developed an innovative technology which consists of hardware and software of a universal control unit for advanced motion control of industrial robots. The technology enables an intuitive way of teaching the robot operations by hand-guiding the robotic arm.
The centre is seeking producers of robot systems or companies requiring robot automatization interested in license agreement, technical cooperation agreement or research cooperation agreement.
Description:
Current robot control systems require a securely separated workplace of the robot and the human. Robot operations are designed separately in a dedicated environment and tested in a production environment which is a lengthy and technically demanding process requiring complex SW tools.
This innovative technology includes a complete control system for collaborative robotics, which means software and hardware for direct connection to any open robotic system with any number of degrees of freedom (DoF).
The system is designed to allow robotic operations in interaction with humans and the environment. So it is possible to set the robot operation by simply hand-guiding its arm and teach its operating path. Similarly, the robot responds to the presence of obstacles during its operation. Therefore, it is not necessary to install the robot in a modified environment. For example, it can be run in a common laboratory environment.
The technology has been designed and tested as a universal controller of a general 7 DoF (Degrees of Freedom) robot on a specific robot type of a particular manufacturer in handling and preparation of biological samples.
The technology includes:
- User interface with intuitive motion programming support
- Universal open interface for communication with the parent layer
Cooperation with manufacturers of robot systems is envisaged on a licence agreement basis. This also includes setting up the implemented technology and verification of the final properties under a technical cooperation agreement.
Subsequent cooperation during the technology expansion under a research cooperation agreement is also possible.

Advantages and Innovations:
This technology is an innovative solution of setting the operations of an industrial robot without the need of complex programming using CAD/CAM system and systems for robot navigation.

It is possible to deploy the system on any open robotic system and take advantage of the intuitive setting of the robot operations by simply hand-guiding the robotic arms by hand.

The system includes optimum control, joint speed minimisation, longer service intervals, F/T (force/torque) sensor for collision detection, hand guidance function, identification of the carried load.

Post processing of taught movements - generating a parameterized trajectory of movement.

Own and complete HW realisation, own SW controller, own motion control of individual axes - possibility of modification for open robotic arms.
