Description:
The Korea company was established in 2006 to provide optimal solutions for the propulsion system to manage reliability, availability, durability, and economic factors. Therefore, the company has focused on developing systems to help understanding operational principle of gas turbine and holding performance examinations. As a result, the company developed EMAS(enhanced maintenance assistance solution) which monitors performance and efficiency of gas turbine in real-time, manages information, and optimizes maintenance and operating cost.

This system largely has 5 modules of 1) Gas turbine condition, 2) operation report, 3) maintenance assistance information, 4) Gas turbine performance analysis, and 5) optimal wash interval. The specifications of each are as follows:

1) Gas turbine condition
This module establishes a thermodynamic model of gas turbine in use, monitors engine performance by comparing between measured parameters and the model. Also, it compares between OEM´s design and actual operational data.
2) Operation Report
This module enables to print out each module´s main output to support user´s reasonable decision on gas turbine operation.
3) Maintenance Assistance Information
This module predicts optimal overhaul interval via performance analysis of main maintenance components for overhaul A, B, and C class.
4) Gas turbine Performance Analysis
This module analyzes gas turbine performance using a base model. Users can simulate gas turbine performance based on their operational scenarios and assess the impact of any changes.
5) Optimal Wash Interval
This module calculates optimal compressor wash interval by profit comparison between clean compressor against dirty compressor in terms of operation cost, cleaning cost and compressor efficiency reduction, etc.

The SME is seeking partners to conclude license agreement and commercial agreement to enter the international market. The company is open to all the type and size of partners.

It is estimated that this system saves annual maintenance and operating cost around $1.5M (for two gas turbines).
