Una universidad técnica checa ha desarrollado un dispositivo que aumenta la seguridad sanitaria de bomberos y equipos de rescate durante incendios y explosiones u otras situaciones peligrosas. Durante un evento, la persona que utiliza el dispositivo es monitorizada de forma constante mediante sensores. El dispositivo de bolsillo se emplea para monitorizar la exposición al calor de bomberos y miembros de equipos de rescate, así como para medir y analizar la temperatura y otros factores de riesgo que afectan a los bomberos. Los datos de los sensores se monitorizan constantemente mediante un procesador de alto rendimiento que, en caso necesario, envía una alarma y avisa al usuario para llevar a cabo los pasos pertinentes y reducir el riesgo de daño físico. La universidad busca fabricantes y socios comerciales con el fin de fabricar y vender el producto final. Asimismo ofrece acuerdos de financiación y licencia.

Summary:
A Czech technical university developed a device which increases the health safety of rescuers during fires and explosions and in other dangerous situations. During an event, a person using this device is constantly monitored via sensors. The university is looking for manufacturing and commercial partners for production and sale of the final product. Financial and licence agreement is offered.
Description:
A Czech Innovation Center located in Moravian-Silesian region is closely cooperating with the technical university, they are offering technical solutions and innovative devices of the start-ups.
The device is a pocket system used to monitor the heat exposure of firemen and members of rescue teams, as well as to measure and evaluate temperatures and other risk factors affecting firemen (or other rescue team members).
The device measures, stores and analyses temperatures and alerts its users when a limit value is reached/exceeded, which can lead to bodily harm. Data from the sensors are continuously monitored by a high-performance processor that, if necessary, sends out an alarm and notifies the user to take relevant steps to reduce the risk of bodily harm. Measured data can be wirelessly transmitted to the commander via communication at a frequency of 192MHz.
The device measures, stores and analyses the user´s movements and sends a notification to the commander if the user becomes unconscious or falls from a height.
The device can be used anywhere a user is exposed to temperatures that might be harmful to his or her health. It can be used by rescue units, both state and private.
