Así, el sistema puede ahorrar hasta un 10% de los costes de producción, aunque también se espera ahorrar entre un 3 y un 5% más después de la implementación. El problema solventado con esta tecnología es la producción ineficiente de papel y el desperdicio de recursos. La principal ventaja del sistema es la posibilidad de visualizar las pérdidas y el lugar en el que se producen de forma clara. An SME in the field of ICT, located in north Sweden´s paper production district, has developed, implemented and refined a system that measures the effectiveness of paper plant´s machines in real time. By doing this the mills can easily analyse and optimize the production. An example shows that the system can save up to 10% of production costs, but 3-5 % after implementation is more to expect. The SME is now looking for commercial agreements with technical assistance with mills and their ICT-suppliers in Germany and Austria.

The problem solved with this technology is inefficient paper production and waste of input resources, due to the most common situation is that all machines and steps in the process are synchronized with each other.

This software connects the relevant systems and present a smart graphic view that all users from site manager to operator have access to and can easily understand. The system also supports a number of process activities: for example, 1) Patrol monitoring 2) Journal management 3) Interruption-camera links. The system is web based.

It is often in the losses, where the potential for improvement lies. The system´s strength is that it can visualize the losses, and where the losses occur, in a clear way. The team behind the system have worked in the paper industry on all positions - directly with this important question. The platform is the result of many decades of practical experience, working with process optimization.

To be able to clearly see how the machines, or the whole department section, use its capacity - is an important element for understanding the process, it also triggers the users to act.

The system has a clear, predefined view for each department and machine. Together with the open interface, you are able to see the other departments "upstream" and "downstream". This gives you a better understanding of the factory process. Although, there is of course room for plant specific accommodations.

Commercial agreement with technical assistance is the cooperation form suggested, to start a common project to integrate the system together with paper mills step-by-step, so the positive effects can be implemented and proven in a controlled way, without jeopardizing production volume or quality.

The ideal outcome in such a project would be better gross profit for both the paper mills and the technology supplier, plus developed technology and input of data to further improve on, TaylorMade for each mill.
