A young German company, which is active in the services sector of wind power stations worldwide is constantly developing with the focus on high qualitiy and on optimizing work processes.

This small company offers a new technology for this sector. It is a oil safe collar, which is mounted outside of the tower below the basket in order to prevent environmental damages by escaping oil from the operating technology of wind power stations. The safety collar contains the binder material, that is used to seperate and fix escaping oil and oily substances.

Their range of services is including:
- preventive environmental protection on wind turbines: outside and inside of the nacelle
- remediation of oil damage at wind turbines: tower renovations inside and out, cleaning of contaminated equipment and outdoor areas
- quality inspection and assessment of rotor blades: quality control of rotor blades before delivery to the customer, specific expert reports requested by customers, annually recurring inspections

The company is seeking partners who are interested in
research cooperation agreements, and/or the commercialisation of the product. Partners may bring the product to the market by licensing the technology or via commercial agreement with technical assistance.
Advantages and Innovations:
The system is fixed to the outside of the tower of a wind turbine without any intervention in the physical structure of the system.

The complete system is recyclable. If damage has occured, the saturated oil adsorbing agents are removed and replaced with new units during the same operation. The saturated adsorbing material can be recycled by removing the oil with a centrifuge.

Environmental damages caused by an oil split can be avoided safely in the future.
Only one day of work outside of the system is needed.

It is applicable for any wind power station regardless of the construction type and design of the wind turbine.
