La tecnología se basa en un carro eléctrico equipado con 13 sensores, un subsistema de control de movimiento, codificadores de distancia, láseres frontales y laterales y un ordenador portátil para procesamiento de datos. The photometric measurement is one of the basic aspects in maintaining the level of efficiency of the AGL equipment of each airport.
The accurate measurement of the photometric performances of inset and elevated aerodrome lights (AGLS) is today a safety critical issue especially for airports
An easy and reliable measurement of AGLS efficiency is the right way to prevent a fast degradation of the total safety of the airport with a corresponding degradation of the operational category and a significant loss of airport capacity and revenues.

The technology developed by the Italian company allows a very high accuracy in the measurement of the photometric emission of each kind of fixture installed in the AGL, giving in the same time a precise report about failures of any kind of signals such as lights for approach, threshold, touchdown, runway centreline/edge, taxiway centreline and stop bar. Particularly the control of the movement of a special sensors bar gives the unique feature to perform a fully ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) specification measurement.
Advantages and Innovations:
The technology operates as a self contained and self moving unit under the control of an on board operator.
The system is built around a special electrical golf cart provided with a proper hard top and a special capote to make the operator comfortable while doing the measurements (normally executed during the night ) in all seasons.
The cart is equipped with a 13 sensors bar, a bar movement control subsystem , distance encoders , front /side lasers for fixture pointing and a mobile computer for data processing
