Una universidad ucraniana ha desarrollado una serie de soluciones proactivas organizadas para mejorar la conversión, distribución y uso de energía en el campus. La aplicación de estas soluciones puede ayudar a las instituciones de educación superior a desarrollar prácticas de gestión de datos necesarias para gestionar la energía como un gasto controlable. La implementación de un sistema de gestión integral de energía permite a la universidad reducir su consumo energético hasta un 21%, así como cultivar el concepto de eficiencia energética entre el personal y los estudiantes. Se buscan socios industriales y universidades con el fin de establecer acuerdos de cooperación técnica o investigación para probar y adaptar la solución a necesidades específicas.

The University seeks collaborative partners (industry,university or academic) for technical/research cooperation to test and adapt the solutions for specific needs.
Description:
Energy efficiency is a key component of local and national strategies to reduce energy use and combat global warming. The objective of an energy efficiency programme introduced by the Ukrainian university was to build a greater understanding of how energy was used within a university campus as well asidentify/suggest new schemes to reduce costs through the more efficient use of energy. It involved the comprehensive analysis of energy use within a process, facility, site and using that analysis to identify and evaluate ways to improve energy performance.
The level of analysis undertaken has determined the level of accuracy and number of opportunities found. A range of approaches based on certain key principles was followed.
Best practice energy efficiency activities carried out at the University included:
-proper planning and resourcing, coupled with a communication strategy that engages with all relevant participants. The timing of the assessment, the key personnel involved, the financial and technical resources required, expected deliverables, as well as potential risks and the strategies to manage them were the main tasks in this phase.
- establishing a project team for the energy assessment, and a listing of suggested responsible team members not only with energy and process expertise, but also people external who can provide alternative perspectives and encourage different ideas.
- developing a conception of energy use. in order to measure energy use within an autoload facility. The University installed an automated control system to collect detailed data on the following variables: production throughout, process parameters, operating modes or profiles. A deeper assessment of the relationship between energy use and other variables was carrying out by combining energy data with other impure data. Information related to organizational changes, growth projects, planned shutdowns/openings, and other plans were also taken into account. A rich collection of energy and working contextual data enables a comprehensive understanding of the factors that influence variations in energy use.
- analysis of energy data which include: graphs of energy use over time and some theoretical calculations to assess systems which cannot easily be measured
- creation of appropriate learning trainings and academic class meeting (courses) to students, staff and other high educational institutions in order to transfer knowledge about energy auditing, standards and disseminating at large audience the best practices, procedures and tools
