A mobile advertising white label for WiFi network owners
An East of England company has launched a service for WiFi network owners. It is a white label mobile advertising solution that allows the company work with its advertisers in a closed community. The other difference is the profiling of all the adverts and the consumers signing up so that only relevant ones will be matched. The network owner can much more easily earn back their costs. End users are sought in retail and elsewhere for licensing and commercial agreements with technical assistance.
Running a WiFi network can be costly. Most owners of these have few possibilities to monetise on it.
An East of England company has successfully launched a new service that targets this market. The application is suitable for clients both large and small, including shopping centres, trains, airports, events.
The service is a ring-fenced white label mobile advertising channel. For example, a shopping centre invites consumers to use their network. The consumers sign in with their Facebook account or, they are asked a few questions about their gender, age and their main interests from a drop-down menu.
Of course, consumers getting more and more overloaded with ´push´ advertising is a growing problem. However, with this new service any advertising is chosen matching the consumer demographics and interests. This achieves an increased click-through with the profiled adverts. The advertising channel can be a responsive website, an app, a website widget or a web app - a website that looks like an app. These look good on a variety of devices. The shopping centre controls who can use it, for example their retailers. A content management system lets the advertisers easily populate the mini-websites with messages in various formats. The mini-websites are profiled for their target audience, to make sure that the most relevant pages will be put in front of the consumers signing up.
Because of the matching of interests and offerings, it is easy for the network owner to show the value to the advertisers. There is a complex back-end to capture the consumer profiles and their activities.
The network owner needs no infrastructure, the channel is hosted by the UK company. All they need is a web browser. It is possible to host the advertising white label in other countries. The UK company can assist with integration.
The UK company seeks commercial agreements with technical assistance and licensing agreements with end users, owners of WiFi networks in the retail and hospitality sector and elsewhere.

Other applications in this space are open to any advertiser wishing to promote their products or services. This new service creates a ring fenced digital environment so that the network owners are in control of their advertisers.
