La tecnología se basa en la síntesis bioquímica de nanopartículas metálicas, es decir, en la obtención de nanocristales metálicos mediante la reducción de sus iones en la solución coloide. Description:
Solutions of metal nanoparticles are used as a raw material for manufacture of a wide range of nanoindustrial products. Metal nanoparticles are applied in deep processing of various raws in the pharma industry, cosmetics, microelectronics, chemistry, including petrochemistry. The demand for solutions of metal nanoparticles from various industries is presently growing, but the industrial application of metal nanoparticles in the form of solutions is hampered by several factors, in particular:
- short working life of the commercially available nanosolutions (below 3 months),
- high price of commercially available nanosolutions,
- the novelty of this sector - not all companies are capable of developing technologies that use nanomaterials,
- lack of theoretical basis and research of nanoparticles in solutions.
A Russian SME from Kaluga region developed a technology for obtaining stable organic and water of metals like gold, silver, copper, cobalt, zinc, etc. The basis of the technology is the biochemical synthesis of metal nanoparticles, that is, obtaining of nanosized metal crystals through their reduction from ions in the colloid solution. The key feature of the technology is application of natural reducers that allows producing solutions of metal nanoparticles similarly to their formation in the nature.
The offered technology allows a considerable (several times) reduction of the production cost and expansion of the range of applications of nanoparticle solutions.
The company is looking for partners interested in using the offered technology in their productions.
Advantages and Innovations:
The developed technology of biochemical synthesis allows solving the key problem of metal nanoparticle solutions: short life-time of metals in the nanosized state. The metal nanoparticle solutions obtained under this technology are stable in the open air during a long time (up to two years).
The main advantages of the technology:
- Nanoparticles are formed in a solution in the air environment, while other technologies require vacuum or inert gas atmosphere.
- The obtained nanoparticles are stable in the open air during a long time (from several months to several years, depending on the metal and the applied procedure).
- For obtaining nanoparticles, natural biologically active substances are used, unlike other technologies that use conventional chemical reducers (hydrazine, sodium borane, hydrogen, etc).
- Nanoparticle solutions can be obtained both on water and organic basis.
- The nanoparticle concentration in solutions is several degrees greater that in similar products of other manufacturers.
- The offered technology allows a considerable (several times) reduction of the production cost.
Moreover, the technology allows:
- controlling the nanoparticles size.
- obtaining solutions with a narrow size distribution,
- obtaining nanoparticles of several sizes in a small diameter area (below 20 nm).
