Una empresa ucraniana ha desarrollado una tecnología de modificación de combustible por cavitación. El uso de combustible modificado evita realizar cambios en el motor. Esta tecnología mejora los parámetros de eficacia y medioambientales de los motores. El consumo de combustible se reduce hasta un 12 - 20%. También se reduce la temperatura de los gases de escape y se modifica su composición: el contenido de óxidos de nitrógeno se reduce de 1,5 a 2 veces, las partículas de hollín de 1,3 a 1,6 veces y el óxido de carbono hasta un 0%. Se buscan socios para financiar la investigación, aportar nuevas ideas, formar un consorcio y vender la licencia.

A Ukrainian company has developed a technology for cavitational modification of fuel. It improves effective and environmental parameters of engines. Fuel consumption decreases by 12 - 20 %. The temperature of exhaust gases lowers, their composition changes: nitrogen oxides content reduces 1.5 to 2 times, soot particles 1.3 to 1.6 times, carbon oxides to 0%.

Description:
Currently existing motor fuels and fuels for power equipment have a number of shortcomings, particularly, their usage causes considerable contamination of the environment by hothouse gases, nitrogen oxides, heat emissions etc. The developers created a cavitation installation for modification of fuel and tested it on diesel fuel.
The proposed fuel modification improves efficiency and environmental parameters of engines, reduces generation of harmful emissions into the atmosphere. Utilization of the modified fuel also helps to clean the engine or the fuel system of the power plant. The use of the modified fuel requires no alteration of the construction of the engine.
The modification of fuel occurs in a supercavitation (SC) installation in the presence of water. The effect of cavitation causes deep changes in molecular and fractional composition of hydrocarbon fuel and formation of microdisperse water-fuel emulsion.
The process of combustion of thus modificated fuel runs more completely, at higer speed and more evenly, which prevents creation of areas of excessive temperature. This, in turn, leads to reduction of carbon oxides, nitrogen oxides and sooth particles containing in exhaust. Moreover, the listed advantages of the process of combustion of the modified fuel create conditions for improving effectiveness of diesel engine by means of diesel fuel economy.
The same technology can be used for combustion of liquid fuel (mazut, diesel fuel) in power devices: boilers, thermal boiler-houses and thermoelectric power stations.

For ship-owners and ship-builders, we propose small-size cavitation shock SC emulsifiers allowing fuel economy up to 18 - 20%. For this modification, bilge water and water load, with preliminary filtration from mecanical impurities can be used.
